Redout Taillight Idea

Wanting to do something a bit different then just my current smoked taillights, thinking of getting the whole tailight overlay'd with red tint, getting a little square cut out for the reverse light. Heres a photoshop of my idea, planning to hopefully get it done tomorrow or early next week:

Personally I've always liked the red and white but that bottom photo doesn't look too bad either. I would like to see the entire back end when it's finished

Neat, but not for me. I'm all about safety on a vehicle and that to me detracts from it, red blinkers don't show up nearly as clear as the amber ones do at a distance. As bright as our tail lights are I think it would wash out the signal visibility.

I was at the shop last week tinting the chrome parts of my car when the guy asked me if i wanted to tint my tails all red ( i got the 2012 ) I originally liked it and was having hard time deciding between red and smoking it...but decided to smoke it like the mercedes stock ones since I wanted to go all blackish. I will post pics of how mine look....but the red one looks bad arse aswell! A lot of my friends were saying they liked the all red because it looked like the new Beemer's tail which is all red. I like how you left that small white portion rather than all red

mod might not be happening anymore, i had my car listed for sale for awhile, guy came last week to take a look. Didn't think he was gonna buy it so i gave up and took it off the market. He called me yesterday and wants to go thru with the sale. Sad and happy at same time, lol. Loved the genesis, but have my heart set on a '03 540i with M Package. Its a oldie but always wanted one. We'll see if it does sell, if not i will continue modding the genesis!

lol, not sure its a big ass v8 compared to the cars today, back in 2003 yes it was considered a big ass v8. To most people its nothing special, for me it was one of the cars on my list i always wanted to own, might have a chance finally.

Aww! well can't complain there! my fav is the E28 5 from the 81. I would be the only exception on going to a bmw keep us updated with your car and new car if the sale happens!

Good luck with the Bimmer! That gen 5 series was one of the best looking cars ever IMHO. I haven't liked the look of the 5 series since then until this years current generation finally "fixed" it.
