  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This is to supplement the discussions on reflashing the ECU.
At wide open throttle the motor defaults to open loop and dumps in all the fuel it can resulting in an over rich mixture of around 11:1 or less. Ideal is about 12.8-13:1.
Stock fuel pressure is regulated at 55 PSI. Reducing this fuel pressure by small amounts would restrict fuel at open loop. The motor would still compensate for reduced pressure at closed loop. Reducing fuel pressure is an old trick, first done in mid 80s to fuel injected Corvettes. I remember www.TPIS.com as marketing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Adjustable fuel pressure regulators are readily available. Perhaps someone like Motorsports Authority will develop this product.
