  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Never paid attention but I think it is in Auto. How would it damage the engine?

auto suppose wait for engine to warm up before starting either cooling or warming the car. Auto will not try to blast hot hair/cold air until engine is ready which takes few minutes
my car used to always start at 'auto' climiate on remote start, .but some reason it stopped it..

What you are describing is for comfort only. IE the car won't blow ice cold air on you in the winter until it is warmer than ambient. Engine wear has nothing to do with this.

Fortunately, when it is hot here (usually), my AC starts working right away. There is, of course, a safety that keeps the compressor off until the engine has reached a certain RPM, but this takes less than a second, and it is there whether it is on auto (always is) or manual.

In winter, many cars will not turn on the blower until the water temperature is high enough to make some heat in the cabin. Blowing cold air would be uncomfortable. I summer, from the sun load the cabin may be very hot so the fan will start to ventilate. Then the AC will start to cool.
