  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone had any issues with the "remote unlock" section of the Hyundai app. Remote start works as well all the other commands. I receive verification that the signal was sent and successful indicating the car has been unlocked. I check the "vehicle status" section of the app, shows doors unlocked. I go out and try and open any door, they will not open, still locked. Strange every other command works just fine.

I've locked with no problem. never had a reason to unlock as I never lock the car unless I'm doing a remote start.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
On mine the doors will re-lock within a few seconds of using the remote unlock if you don't immediately open the door. So if your inside it may be unlocking and locking again before you get to the car. Try using it when you standing next to the car. Also the side mirrors don't unfold when using the remote unlock. Just a quick flash of the hazard lights and a beep to notify you which you may miss and it will lock again.

You da man Ryan, that's exactly how it works. From the time I see command sent on the app. until the door unlock, 10-15 seconds. If I do nothing the doors re-lock in about the same amount of time. After the doors remotely unlock if I do open any doors the doors will not automatically re-lock.
The reason I was testing it I was going to leave the car at a mechanics shop. I wanted to drop it off around 7 and the shop didn't open until 8. So, I figured I'd wrap the key fob in aluminum foil, throw it in the trunk, have them call me when they got there, I'd send the "remote unlock" signal - mission accomplished ...……………………….. & yes, I could leave my extra key fob with them (if I wanted to drive 30 miles twice to do so) made more sense to just push a few buttons on my phone.

While that may work, most shops have a drop box on the door for customer keys. Call and ask.

Most shops but not ALL shops and in particular not this one. Seems years ago someone absconded with keys, fobs, and other goodies, from then on you play by their rules.
