  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just picked up a new OEM rain sensor for the windshield of my 2016 3.8 Sedan. Cost was $180 with tax. Has anyone got any helpful suggestions on the replacement procedure to ensure that there are no air bubbles or other problems with the installation.(??) This inferior rain measuring system is a big problem with lots of Hyundai products, it seems. After removing the old one twice and cleaning and re-installing it, it just flat stopped working at all. ; just a few swipes will happen (sometimes) in the "Auto" position. The on-line Hyundai tech said once they are taken off; you have to install a new one with new glue'; and do it very carefully. Just looking for any input from someone that might have done this.(?!?) Thanks in advance.

Will this be a problem if you are getting windshield replaced due to rock chip??

I believe it will, since a new glass windshield would probably not come with said sensor, unless (maybe) it was a Hyundai OEM part.(??)
