I had a good smart key and a dead one (both original). I replaced the battery like it said in the manual + side up. It was still dead. I checked the good one and found the + side down.
I turned the battery over and it was still dead. I called the dealer and said he would reprogram it for $69.
I then started up the car with the good smartkey in the receptical, ejected it and placed the dead one in there, and it’s now programmed perfectly, and I still have the $69 on my wallet.
Please let me know if this works for you, or maybe even new keys. Dave Brook ab4zr1@gmail.com
