  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thanks so much for asking!!!

Dad is doing outstanding!!! He is eating properly, working out, and has lost going on 40 lbs. The DR.'s say his heart is functioning perfectly!

HOWEVER...it seems as if he has lost his ability to make decisions. Simple decisions...like what to order at the restaurant, what kind of drink he would prefer, what tie he should wear with his suit. I'm not sure what to make of it but my grandmother suffers the same thing after her stroke a few years ago. It is not bad...but definitely noticeable to those who are close to him. Well, that is something I would give up in order to add years to my life for my family.

Thanks again for asking...it means the world to me!

That's great!!

I had funny little memory issues when I had had open heart surgery 18 years ago when I was 41. In my case I could not easliy remember some people's names (office workers, acquaintenances, etc) . It took about a year but the problem gradually went away. I have since talked to other people who had heart surgery and many of them also had funny little "mind" issues and in most all cases their's improved as well. I bet it will improve for him also.
Again that is great nerws that he is doing well!
