    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Request NAV to a town or city

Sometimes I want to drive to some rural areas without having a specific location to visit. The Nav system has its own (irritating) sequence it wants you to follow to input a destination. Assuming you've already selected a state, is there a way to just be able to input a city name and have it be accepted and give routing without having to come up with a street name and a number address?
 
If you have voice activation, I think I remember reading here that you can change the way the information is entered but I think it still requires more than just a town. Also, I have yet to get this to work well despite several tries :rolleyes:. One other way would be to go to "Cursor" mode on the Nav screen and move the target to the town you want. I think then it will use that as the destination point.
 
I have used the POI and just picked the town hall, police station or something similar.
