If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Hello again. I would like to be able to reset my AVERAGE MILES PER GALLON to zero when I reset trip to zero and begin a new trip......so I can see what the average was for my current trip. (dont want city driving mixed in with my trip drive which was all highway). Is there a way to do this? I dont have a reset button on the steering wheel. Thanks Henry

The 2012 (G2) resets automatically if you add more than 1.6 gallons to the tank. Here's what the manual says:
"Pressing the RESET button for more than 1 second, when the average fuel consumption is being displayed, clears the
average fuel consumption to zero (----). If the vehicle speed exceeds 1.6 MPH (1km/h) after refueled more than 1.6 gallons
(6 l), the average fuel consumption will be cleared to zero (---)."
So it sounds like you can check your average MPG as long as you don't have to refuel during the trip. Probably makes good sense to the engineer that lives in a country 150 miles by 250 miles (S. Korea).

Thank you ...I am sort of a skeptic also but wish I were not...even though I am rarely disappointed...Ha I have the 2012 3.8 Sedan but there is no reset button on my steering wheel because they use of that control for the cruise on my car. I recently traded in a base 2012 for a loaded 2012 The base 2012 had that reset feature you are talking about...really liked that as I could see what GPM I was getting on a steady long highway trip...got 32mph on cruise at 68 mph going 196 miles....thought very good indication of engine health. Want to do same with my "new" 2012 but no RESET button. Guess I will have to add 1.6 gallons + to find out. Appreciate your time to reply. Henry

With the 3.8L we get a computer calculated average reading of 35-36 while on the highway at 65-70 mph since we bought it. It's 28-30 on average for normal mixed driving highway and city. I'm sure it's not the true MPG but if the odometer is right it's close. It makes me feel better about the 10-12 MPG I get with my truck. :o

The tech package '12 model doesn't stream Bluetooth audio, but you probably know that too. The base and premium models do.

Enjoy your new ride. My '12 premium model is barely broken in at 31,000 miles. I plan to keep it in the family for at least ten years.

Well that worked perfectly. Added some gas and the average MPG went to zero after just driving a little. I went at steady 60 mph for about 40 miles, a few times I had to slow down a little and a couple of stop lights. Tank almost full, trunk and car loaded up with stuff, as we are moving. Got 31.4 mpg I was ok with that considering all the weight in the car and short trip duration. Thanks OhioCowboy....I feel my new car engine is reasonably healthy...I had been worried. henry
