Retrofit the Sport steering wheel into the 2015 G80 Sedan?

Hey guys,

Has anyone successfully swapped the original 4-spoke steering wheel from a 2015 G80 sedan for the 3-spoke Sport version found in the facelift models of the same generation?

I'm pretty sure the wheel will physically fit but I'm wondering if anything else needs to be done in order to retain buttons and heating functionality of the wheel.

Buttons layout is the same, but instead of dynamic cruise control I have a "Back" button. However, the controls themselves do not look physically the same, so I can't simply put the ones from the old steering wheel onto the new one.

My guess is you will have problems. I had some switches fail on my steering wheel. eBay had what I thought was an exact match steering wheel for less than the switches. When installing the steering wheel, it did not work properly. The result was we used the switch from the new steering wheel in the old one. The 2 steering wheels were visually identical. I think you will have even more trouble with a different steering wheel.
