The black frame doesn't bother me at all. Perhaps would be slightly better to be "frameless" since it's slightly larger, but most average drivers would benefit from actually having the mirrors positioned correctly and not watching their own back fenders! :o
 
I don't like the placement of the driver side mirror. For me it causes a low blind spot.
 
I love my left mirror and the right one too!
