  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My wife and I have just completed an 1800 mile trip from Edmonton to Phoenix. During the trip, I noticed that the blind side monitor on the right side was kicking out quite frequently. Has anyone had a problem with this? The car only has 10,000 km on it

What exactly do you mean by "kicking out?"

It stops functioning. It does not show the collision warning on the heads up display nor does the amber light turn on in the right side mirror. It is as if the system has been disabled manually, and it has not been. It is on full warning and automatic setting

Blind spot monitoring will disable if you drive long enough without any other cars near enough to you to trigger the blind spots. I guess it worries that it might not be working, so it stops working...
If this is not the case for you, then time to go to the dealer about it.

Thanks for the response. There were periods where there were no other cars, but it was also not working in areas where there were a multitude of cars on the road. I never had problem with the left side, only the right
