  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,

I notice there are 3 different rim choices, depending on the package, for the G70 in the US marked but in Canada there are no choices. Will this change on the 2023 Canadian model? Will the 2023 model get the 3.5 TT like the GV70 seeing as the Stinger is being discontinued?

Looking for opinions.

Thank You

^ huh? CAD gets 3 wheel choices as well. base 18" on 2.0T Select/Advanced, 19" on 2.0T Prestige & 3.3T Advanced, Sport 19" on 3.3T Sport/Launch.

this is straight from Gen Can spec sheet, each wheel option being trim-dependent:

shoot i see different rims ,,and colors ,and interiors than when i go on line to build one ,,,,all depends on your zip code

^^ maybe i'm slow in head this Monday, but what do you mean "rim types"? material, style, cast vs forged, etc?

the base 18" is one style, the prestige 19" is second style, and the 19" sport is a third style. they all look different, in addition to being different sizes. all of them are cast aluminum alloy. no forged options for us from the factory.

forget what the online configurator shows - the depicted rim is the Sport rim as it says on the page. maybe that is tripping you up? the Canada configurator has always lacked the custom view of the actual trim selected.

bottom line: Canada gets 3 wheel choices depending on the selected trim, as we have since the G70 launched in 2019.

The Canadian configurator has one rim style. Do you know where I can see all the styles?

yeah, i know - that's what i said. the configuration disclaims this - it states the model shown is the 3.3T Sport.

to get a better idea of the rim choices look at the US configurator. the rims are the same as far as i know. lighter silver 18", machined prestige 19", darker sport 19". Launch edition may be a unique rim, i'm not sure. i've always been partial to that 19" prestige machines rim - but with my Euro brake pads that dust a lot i am glad i have the dark Sport rims.

anyways, search around, be resourceful, and good luck.
