  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have to throw a little defense in for my first BMW 740iL. I drove that car for 110K miles and it was the family road trip vehicle until we got the minivan. It was awesome and only stranded me once in its life-- less than 5 miles from home when the radiator blew. I was a bit sad when it was dethroned by the minivan, because the open road driving pleasure dropped a bunch. However, when it needed service, it was expensive.

The Genesis will never be a much of a road tripper, because the minivan is still in the stable. If I am lucky, i may get to drive it to Orlando this year with the family, but I am not counting on it.

So I assume it's not in the cards for you to say something like, "Ok, it's time for you to all man up and pack the car!" And then punch it? :D

I'm a guy with a wife and two daughters. I suffer from estrogen domination.

However, I have had a few work trips that took me on about a 4-hour highway drive. Those have been most pleasurable and solidified my affection for the Genesis. I love the dynamic cruise and LDWS. When I am tired, the LDWS is nice. The cruise works very well in most highway roadtrip situations-- much better than a traditional cruise.
