  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Visited Roswell Hyundai yesterday (Saturday). Wanted to check on the price of an Air Cleaner. Well, I forgot that I had read that their Service Department is located at Roswell Toyota. THIS IS DUMB! Three dealers in a row, all owned by the same owner. Roswell Hyundai, Roswell Honda and Roswell Toyota. OK, I talked with the salesmanager and salespersons for about a half hour. I was the only non employee in the place. I saw no customers. NONE. A lot of cars sitting in the lot, however the building is an older building, not at all modern. I then went to Roswell Toyota to check on the Hyundai parts price. Beautiful building. Lots of customers inside, both to buy cars, and waiting while their cars were in the Service Department. Inquired, and yes, they are both Toyota and Hyundai Service. IMHO, this is a big mistake. People go to have their cars serviced, and often, they see a car on the lot that they like, and they end up buying it. In this case, all they see are Toyotas. To me, it sounds like the owner is trying to save money by having both service areas at one (Toyota) location.

Sounds like "Penny Wise and Pound Foolish"

Wonder what American Hyundai thinks of this?

Works both ways. I was at a Honda dealer and at the last minute decided to step next door the Hyundai dealership owned by the same company (Ed Voyles near Atlanta) and saw the Genesis (and ended up buying one).

Doesn't bother me in the least, and makes perfect sense. The lower the overhead of the dealer, the lower price they can sell cars for. In this era of dealerships rapidly going bankrupt (even Hyundai dealers, as noted by at least two other posters), whatever they can do do to stay in business is fine with me.

Having dealers invest millions in dealerships that only sell one brand is a colossal waste of money.

Same here. Larry Miller Toyota is connected to LM Hyundai. My visit to check out Toyota's led to buying the Hyundai
