  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a small spot on my driver's seat that I would like to touch up.

Any suggestions on what to use?

Shoe polish or ???

Thanks!

Is this spot removable? I would attempt to clean it before using a dye. What is the stain from?

What is the best way to get a leather sample to send them for exact color match?

The spot is actually a wear mark through the saddle-colored leather. Just a small spot.....from entering / exiting the vehicle.

If it is a wear mark, why not take it to the dealer for warranty? The dealership is replacing my steering wheel because the leather is wearing out on the bottom of the wheel. It is worth a try.

I am not under warranty anymore. Anyone have experience with leather color dye repairs?

Take it to an auto upholstery shop. That's what they do! Get a few estimates.
