  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2015 Genesis V6 Ultimate, and it refuses to download the contacts. It pairs right away, then warns that the contact download is about to start - check your phone for permission.

It then proceeds to loose the pairing and repeat the sequence until I select NO when prompted to try again. This occurs every time I start the car - help

I have an S5 and never had that issue..my guess is the phone wont allow the download to happen

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
have you tried restarting your phone and re=pairing it to the car?

When you get that message you need to go to your phone. It will ask if it ok to download contacts and if its ok to do it without asking.

At least that's what had to be done with my S5.

Yes, I've done it both ways "ask" and don't ask again. I've popped the battery, fctory reset phone and car - still the same thing

The fix?

With your BT turned on:
Settings > Applications Manager > Running (slide accross) > Bluetooth Share > BluetoothPbapService (you need to 'Stop' this application).

This should then allow your device to talk to your Genesis. This will need to be done each time you turn off the Bluetooth on your phone.
