  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I ma having a problem connecting the features that come with the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 car mode to my Genesis. While my phone has no problems hooking up via blue tooth, there is a feature in Car Mode that will let you send texts orally as well as have the one you receive read aloud to you. That function works fine when I am NOT in the car, but as soon as I try to use it in the car, nothing happens. Has anyone else had this issue? Anyone have an idea for a solution. I have spent hours on the phone with tech support both from Verizon (my carrier) and from Samsung and no one can figure out why this isn't working. They claim it must be a Hyundai issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't believe the Genesis supports this functionality for Android. It will when/if Android Auto comes. Right now, the functionality you describe is available natively in the car for iPhones through Siri Eyes Free.

Samsung's car mode is supposed to act like Siri. I know you can't get any visuals on screen, but car mode is supposed to let you hear and send texts audibly without any projection on the screen. So if it works with Siri, shouldn't it work with Car Mode?

I believe the note 5 has to be plugged in via the USB jack next to the power outlet for it to work. That's how it is in my LG g4. Does not work via Bluetooth

Thanks. I tried directly plugging it in, but that doesn't work either.
