- Genesis Model Type
- No Genesis Yet!
Hi Guys, I have been researching cars from last year. I decided to get RWD sedan or RWD based AWD sedan. Decided to get something premium over budget sedans but still reasonable and most under-appreciated (So I can get a good deal).
I liked Genesis a lot especially with that big sunroof and spacious interior. After reading on this forum and generally avoiding first year models, I have 2016 Genesis on my mind.
- Wait till lease returns start showing up.
- Will be looking for one with beige or ivory interior and tech package
- Planning to get HPP Extended warranty
- Planning to get the price under $25,000
The listings are so bad (misinformed) with interior colors and packages, I just look at all Genesis and just look at driver seat and it's color, if it has extending thigh cushion means I am looking at Tech or Ultimate. Then I look at wood if it's glossy then I am looking at Tech. (Avoiding ultimate because of no Android auto)
What else I have seriously considered and considering
2016 Lexus GS 350 F sport
+ More Sporty
+ More Refined (fit and finish, noise isolation)
- Cramped
- little costly than used Genesis
2019 Kia Stinger GT2
+ new
+ 10 years/100k warranty
+ much more power and sporty
+ Not as spacious as Genesis but still enough roomy
- costly
- Still not refined as much as Genesis
About me:
I do small maintenance items myself (change brakes, changed the hood lock on the current car, fluid replacements), buy my own oil but pay for the oil change (usually $10). Like to push my car around corners (I have Mitsubishi Galant).
Feel free to share your thought, things I missed or misunderstood something.
