  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have noticed that when I connect my Pixel 10 phone via direct wire via the USB plug to my 2019 Genesis G80, especially when I use Waze, the screen will lag as compared to what is happening on the phone. For example, if I am using Waze, the screen will be up to a mile or two "behind" - which is super-inconvenient when trying to use a map, because it tells you to exit after the exit has passed.

I do not think this is a problem only with Waze because I also use the Pandora app, and have noticed a similar time lag where the song will audibly change, but the display shows the last song still playing for 20 seconds or so. However Google Maps does not seem to lag nearly as much.

I bought a high-quality USB cable, but this did not solve the problem. I have had this problem with both my Pixel 9 and Pixel 10, the latter being the newest, so I don't think this is an issue with the phone being slow.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have a pixel 9 and use Android auto wirelessly and definitely get a lag when Waze is running. If I switch to Google maps it no longer lags. Thinking something with Android 16 as I didn't have this problem before. Any ideas?

I have now recently noticed it when I use Google Maps, perhaps happening when I am also streaming music with Pandora. Is it possible that the head unit gets overwhelmed with data?

I had a similar issue a few months back with my Pixel 9. I updated the Genesis software, and it seemed to get better for a while. But it's bad again.

The first time I noticed this, I legit thought I was going crazy - I missed my exit by a couple of miles, then when I took another exit the screen was telling me I was on a curve when I was going straight, took a left and it showed me going right (because I had taken a right earlier), etc.

I have the exactly same problem, but with Apple car play it works fine. I was thinking it might be a cable issue as system seems to work fine on its own and phone too. I will try with a new cable and update the post
