That is the purpose of the display button. To get the screensaver you have to go into the settings. One the Ultimate go to HOME and start there. Can anyone tell me how to get the clock as a screen saver? I hit the “display “ button and the screen goes completely blank.
don't hit display. That is for people that want it blank.I appreciate your help but I did go into the settings and set the screensaver to digital clock. But then nothing but blank screen when I hit display. It’d be nice just to have a clock as opposed to the blank screen or the busy ness of the nav/audio screen.
I’ll try that and see. Thanks
Ok I’ve got the clock on there. But is there no way to have the radio playing with the clock on the screen? In my Genesis you see the clock when you shut off your radio and your Nav. Try pressing the power button twice.
Hmm yes I am. Ok I thought there might be something to look at other than blank screen. Funny system. Thanks for your help. But you might be annoyed to have your audio and your Nav shut off.![]()

Thank you kindly. That’s exactly what I was asking but not the solution I was hoping for.to answer you directly...
You're out of luck.
Your display will be whatever area of the menu you're on, the map/nav, or your media.
The home button simply takes you to the "main menu" and is not a home button like we've grown accustomed to on our phones and other cars. I hit my map button next to the jog dial and keep that as my normal display.
you can upload pics to the hard drive, but they can only be viewed while parked. No way to set them as a wallpaper or background.
I'm glad you started this thread. I accidentally brought the digital clock up on my display a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to get it back ever since. I couldn't figure it out. I get tired of looking at the NAV screen sometimes and the blank screen looks too plain after a while.Hmm yes I am. Ok I thought there might be something to look at other than blank screen. Seems silly that you can’t have the clock up and listen to radio at the same time. Oh well.I'm glad you started this thread. Not sure what to say. Just on here looking for helpful information. Not an argument.Seems silly that the digital clock isn’t good enough for you to look at. Oh, well.
Not true Ed.don't hit display. That is for people that want it blank.

The display button, I.e.screen saver, has 3 functions. Digital clock, analog clock, or blank.
OP, Go into the settings on the radio and find the “RESET TO DEFAULT”. This will reset the radio and all settings to the way they came from the factory, this should clear up the issue, apparently the unit is not saving your choice.
Sadly you will need to reset your sound settings and other personal choices, but this is the only way to resolve this issue. Been there, done that.
Let me note:this is how it works on my 2018.
