Scuff removal

Dear all: my 2015 Genesis Sedan Ultimate has sustained some scuffs (albeit light) on the soft vinyl material above the glove compartment. I tried cleaning it with a clean microfiber towel and it made it worse. Any suggestions on how to remove these?

APC mixed at 10:1 with water, if not working you may increase mix ratio slowly, generaly you wont need to go so high.

Of course I mean it!! You can use Meguiars D101, McKee's 37 Hi-Intensity All Purpose Cleaner Plus, Optimum Power Clean or any other from a reputable brand. One gallon last years because of dilution, all are safe on dashboards, leather, clear coat, rubber, wheels, plastic, engines, etc. You have to use thr right dilution ratio though. Just Google it.

I think “APC” leaves a little to be desired. Though Google is a valuable resource one of the advantages of being part of a forum such as this is the ability to interact with knowledgeable people on issues related to a common interest. To that end clarity of response is important especially to a fairly new poster. I typically don’t respond to negative posts as it serves no purpose so unless it is useful to the original post expect none.

Thanks for the input. As a matter of clarification, these are scuffs/light scratches, not superficial dirt. Are these products able to gently "sand" scratches off the vinyl while bringing the surface back to its original condition?

No they won't sand the finish...they are cleaners only.
But I did find a product that will reduce the marks...303 Aerospace protectant
this stuff reduced marks on lower panel of door..apply and buff off with micro towel

To the best of my knowledge, the leather and vinyl materials have a paint-like coating in the desired color. The scuffs and scratches can't be sanded back. I would recommend talking to an upholsterer or someone specializing in leather or vinyl repair before you do additional damage. The service department at your local Hyundai dealership may know someone or do it themselves.
