  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello,
I have a new 2012 3.8 Genesis Sedan with the standard stereo.
I have searched hi and low but can not find a control for adjusting the speed compensated volume control. I assume the Genesis has the same "SCVC" that my 2011 Sonata 2.0T but have not found it, does the Genesis have this control?

Press the INFO/PHONE button once on this DIS. You'll see the selection for Speed Depemden Volume.

He has no DIS on the basic level model. Neither does the Premium model. My Premium edition has touchscreen controls.

Haha whoops. Was driving when I posted.

Good info for DIS peeps then.:p

I have a base 2013 with base radio and the SCVC is driving me nuts. Has anyone found a way to disable it?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I don't think you can disable it :(

I'm in the same boat as you with the TERRIBLE base head unit.
I couldn't find anything for turning that auto volume off and when I asked the stealership they told me they weren't aware of any way to turn it off either.

It's so frustrating, that shitty feature holds back about 1/2 of the stereo's power unless you are driving over 120 mph.
Except I don't want to drive everywhere at 120 mph.
It's little shit like that, that keeps this car from being on par with actual luxury cars.
