If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2010 2.0T coupe, I've been searching for a front big brakes kit upgrade.
I was offered a front aftermarket BBK at a very good price, but the vendor said that the kit is for the Genesis sedan & he isn't 100% sure it would fit on the 2.0T
I'd appreciate any information in this regard would such kit fit on the 2010 coupe? Are the hubs identical in both the sedan & coupe?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Is this brake kit you're speaking of just rotors I assume? Some BBK are rotors and calipers. I doubt the sedans rotors would fit your coupe, but that would depend on which model 2.0T maybe. Does the track edition have the Brembo brakes on the 2.0T? The hyundai brake rotor part numbers are not the same for the 2010 coupe vs. the 2010 4.6 Sedan for example. check out a few different sceanarios:

This kit include 14-inch rotors, 6-pot calipers, pads, & brake lines. My coupe has the basic non-brembo brakes. I think that the 4.6 sedan has larger rotors than the coupe, thus the different part # I assume?
But I need to know whether the hubs are identical or not in both car, if they are then rotors would be interchangeable.

Want to share the details on that kit? I may be interested...

I owned an R spec coupe for a while and I remember a thread where a successful swap from one of the sedan models was completed. The calipers swept area was greater than the standard coupe, but wasn't as large as the Brembo's but it was much less expensive. There were two active forums and as I recall the thread wasn't on the coupe section of this site, Do some searching, the details were very well presented and documented and the guy that completed the swap was very happy.

What's really important is to know if the hubs are identical in both cars, since I'm replacing everything, including the calipers. I'm tending to believe that the hubs are identical so an aftermarket BBK made for the sedan should fit the coupe & vice versa. One clue I found is an aftermarket kit offered by Brembo which has the same part number for both the sedan & coupe.

Wish I could offer more advice. The R-spec had the Brembo's and they were fantastic. That site I PM'ed you hopefully has the info you need somewhere. Good Luck!
