  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm selling my 2009 Genesis 4.6 Tech Package with about 57K miles on it... I'm asking $18,500.00. I live in MN.

Once I sell it or trade it in... Not sure what I want quite yet.

I've been looking at either the 2015 Genesis AWD Ultimate or the 2015 Ford Explorer Sport... They both have their pluses and minuses... Need something AWD for these winters.

I sold my 09 4.6 with tech for the 5.0 ultimate. Mine has AWD though. I wouldn't have bought it without it.

I almost bought my wife an Explorer Sport. There was (and perhaps still is) a problem with some earlier model year Explorers (but still of the same generation) where flooring the accelerator with the air conditioning on would infuse the cabin with a very strong burnt odor. I was very happy to discover this before buying a near $50K vehicle, because I would have been livid had I have purchased it and had to smell that. Again, this may be fixed now, and some seemed to have the problem whereas others insisted they didn't. It was not a chance I was prepared to take.

I stopped driving my 15 Genesis after having it for a month. I'm back driving my 14 siverado pick up. Nothing wrong with the car but it kinda makes me feel old with all the lux and comforts. I guess I'm to young for this car.

Yeah, I'm really digging the Ford Explorer... Now more so, because Hyundai will not take care of the wheels on my car... All four of them are flaking... Dealership said they have NEVER seen this. The chrome strip on my trunk is also bubbling. With only 57K miles, this should not be the case.

Corrosion warranty is only for perforated metal, which you won't see on your wheels for a couple hundred more years.
Have you had a body shop look at the wheels and diagnose the problem was not caused by curb rash & winter salt?
Rear chrome bubbling has been noted by a couple posters (easy to search, this one has a link to a parts website).

I only got $16k for mine last week with 53k and it was in clean/above average condition (no interior or exterior issues) and a Florida car.
Kudos to you if you can get $18k+ ... http://www.edmunds.com/hyundai/genesis/2009/tmv-appraise-results.html

GL with the sale.

Just updated for $16,500. I'd like to just trade it into Ford and be done with it though... Not sure I'd get much.
