  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

While the trio of tuned Genesis coupes have garnered their fair share of attention, these three Genesis sedans had a few tricks up their sleeves, beginning with the RKSport model above that benefits from a Hyundai-developed screw-type supercharger mated to the 4.6-liter Tau V8.

With 11 pounds of boost huffed into the bent eight, the RKSport sedan is putting out an estimated 460 horsepower, but with a new cylinder deactivation system, fuel mileage is equivalent to that of the V6-equipped Genesis. Hyundai made it clear that it hasn't made an official decision to offer the supercharger, but expect the cylinder deactivation system to be available in the future.

In addition to the engine mods, the RKSport model receives a custom body kit, composite hood, rear roof spoiler and trunk spoiler, along with Enkei LS-5 wheels, Baer brakes, a K&N air intake, Magnaflow exhaust and lowering springs.

Both the RIDES and DUB brought out their Genesis sedans to the show, and you can get up to speed below the fold and peruse the galleries for plenty of live and stock shots.

460 plus cylinder deactivation.

I would be nervous about an even newer and more sophisticated powertrain. I don't mean to criticize Hyundai. I'd be nervous with any automaker offering a vehicle that powerful for the first time.

But the pictures look fantastic, and I'm sure it's a blast to drive.

So... who's going to buy me one? :D

From the Autoblog page: "Hyundai made it clear that it hasn't made an official decision to offer the supercharger, but expect the cylinder deactivation system to be available in the future."

It's not for sale, but they may actually offer it in a few years.

Hyundai IS working on a performance division - so I expect to see the option available very soon.. That's very impressive.. I like the Genesis Sedan a LOT. If they offered a supercharged V8, I'd own it right away.

460 HP would be a blast, I think if they offered a supercharger on this car it would do well, what a great bang for the buck

Ok, so how about a dyno graph or some sound clips or some video!!! I need to hear this thing. Like, NEED to hear it.

I have a bonus check that is sitting in a money market account until the supercharger comes out...hopefully it will and if installed by the dealer, will retain the original warranty as well!!!

I've owned:
4Runner - TRD charged
Tundra - TRD charged
Silverado- Whipple charged

Just to let you know how serious I am about this!!
