  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis is really going to have to up their A-game with a GV80 Americanized version and stop playing “pot luck”with what us American consumers really want in a luxury class sport utility vehicle.

Although this is my second Genesis(1st was a G80) it will be my last until things improve across the board in needed features (some mentioned above) and service that can be there when needed and not months down the road...

Service is dependent on you dealer. Mine does a good job.

I’m not complaining about the service but the lead times!

Mine got mine in within a week of me calling. Both times I had service.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Independent dealers and quick response time. Waiting time should be in days, not weeks or month.

5 weeks for a valet appointment so mine could photograph a part for a recall, then bring back the car and wait until the part arrived at the dealership, then another 5 weeks for another valet appointment to actually replace the part (or 4 weeks without valet and take a chance no "reserved" loaner was available, which is what happened to me twice before, but never again).

So far I have only had to bring my car in for scheduled maintenance although they did do several recalls when the car was in. I did have to make an appointment a few weeks in advance to get the loaner but I don't have a problem with that on scheduled maintenance. But if I have something suddenly go wrong, I do expect that I can take the car in and get a loaner immediately.

You are correct, IMO, as to a breaking point. I absolutely love my Genesis GV60 Performance vehicle BUT if something went wrong and I had to make an appointment weeks in advance, I would be down the street at the Penske luxury dealerships (Audi, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, etc.) or at the Fashion Square for a Lucid looking to trade in my Genesis.

The pandemic made a mess and I guess some dealers have not recovered. Some of the loaner cars were sold to keep the dealership afloat.

I'm past the concierge portion, but can get an appointment in just a few days now.

I had my first problem with the car last week. The passenger window would not close. I drove to the dealer the next day, Thursday, without an appointment and they gave me a loner. They called me later and told me that I needed a new regulator an probably because of the holiday weekend, they would not have the part installed until Tuesday. Tuesday AM they called me and said the regulator had been installed and the car was ready. I dove down and got it.
So for me, the service has been great. My regular services have been good as well but this is my first come to Jesus minute and the dealer passed with flying colors. And this is a Hyundai/Genesis combo dealer. A shout out to Naples, FL Genesis.

So like DaleNet said: It all about your dealer. I have a good one.
