I've found what looks to be a good deal on a 2019 G70 3.3t with the sport package. Low mileage, all options, the best looking color (in my opinion). It's priced @ $38k ($4.7k below the KBB average fair market price) (bottom line, I asked). The dealer is up front with the fact that it was a manufacturer buyback, and even showed me the lemon law notice paperwork.
The issue was with the brakes, which have been completely replaced by the manufacturer (meaning there's a 1 year/12k mile warranty on the brakes in case of another issue)
One article I read mentions that manufacturer buybacks are good opportunities, but sometimes you might want to stay away if it was a problem with something like the brakes or transmission, etc.
I've also read about some people having issues with brakes in both the G70 and the Kia Stinger GT, so it may just have been someone who didn't want to deal with that so they lemoned it.
I definitely won't buy without test driving it first, but it is a few hours away, so I wanted to get others' opinions on manufacturer buybacks. What do you guys think? Thanks!
