  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Show off your wheels

@NeutronQuasar I think the silver exterior and matter bronze is a much better combination than I would have ever considered it to be. Glad you are happy with the result and you took that chance, it paid off! Would be great to see a few pictures in full daylight to get the full effect.

This isn't full on sunny, but the sun was shining through some thin clouds directly onto the car. Was hoping it would be sunnier today; maybe next time.

Hello All! First time Genesis owner, First time forum question! Just purchased a 2023 GV70 and I want to replace the wheels. Can I do 22x10.5 size wheels? If so what is the max/min offset ? I have called the dealership, talked to a service dept, and no one can tell me what range offset I can do. Hoping someone here would know these specs. I do want the center cap to sink into the car slightly (negative offset), just not sure what the max offset is?

I am looking at a variety of configurations depending on the wheel I find I like. I looked at 10.5 as well for the same reason...to have some concavity. Based on my calcs, 10.5 might fit in the back with higher offset (+42 to +45), but unlikely in front without either poking out significantly (I like it flush, not poking) or coming in contact with the strut. So staggered could be an option, but I prefer they be the same to allow for rotation of wheels etc. Some have put 10" with some poke in the front, but depends on what any particular wheel offers for this bolt pattern. Many, I find, go from 9" to 10.5" for our bolt pattern. To know for sure, you need to go to a dedicated wheel shop which either has experience with this fairly new vehicle or would be willing to dry fit a 10.5 wheel on your vehicle. Dealer is usually useless for this kind of info.

I don’t get why some people fret over the 21” wheels. The GV70 is incredibly compliant even with those large wheels. Are people buying these cars without having test driven them at all?
Living in PHX AZ the roads are pretty much always it great condition, potholes are a rare issue! Move to AZ and mount some 24"'s shod with rubberbands!

The right set of wheels/tires make all the difference, I tell ya! Like the 21"'s on my GV70. Would I have bought them given a choice, maybe. Will I replace them in the future, maybe. For fun here are some of the wheels I've mounted over the years, having had a lot of rides.
Post some of yours, let check them out!

Look at HRE. I believe their FF28 has the spoke designed similar to above. If not, you're best best is to filter through all the multi-spoke wheel options on a big resellers page and find something she likes.

Thanks I will

Those may not exist in production given that is the newly announce GV80 coupe. Nevertheless, Stance SF10 are similar in design. Almost got the SF10 myself but wife thought they were too busy and was not a fan. And I saw cursing in my future trying to clean them with all the holes and nooks and crannies, so it was a pass. Got better things to do then spend half the time to clean my car being spent on wheels. :)

You'll never catch me cleaning my wheels, thats what the mobile detailer is for. I appreciate the response, Stance SF10 are close but not quite what I'm looking for.

What did you end up putting on your vehicle? Any details and pics would be great to see!

Looks great! I appreciate the machined face, as you can tell below. As I have stated many times, not a fan of solid black wheels. Kept my stock 19" for winter...sold the Michelin's and bought winters...Conti viking contact 7s. These are 21 x9, custom offset of ET32 and custom CB to perfectly fit of 67mm. Rotary flow forged so have strength without the weight...less than 20 lbs each. Machine face has a tinted clear so tones it down a bit.

I also wanted to stick with 19" as I found the test drive on the 21" very jarring over our roads here and I can only imagine what it's like with the ice, snow and potholes in the winter time here (Canada). I wanted some bronze but not solid bronze and found a combination of machined silver with accented matte bronze on the inside of the wheels. They are a bit wider than the stock wheels (19x8.5) so it doesn't cause as much bulge in the tires which I like better. I seriously considered getting 20" wheels but the last time I got the car back from the dealership, they added an extra 5 psi in the tires and even that was instantly noticeable to me so I think I'll stick with slightly less better looking and way more comfortable ride.

These are from WheelWiz.

Yah I agree. At first I also thought to go with full black. its only nice when clean. hard to keep it clean n use practically :ROFLMAO:.

And stock wheels thinking to paint or plasti-dip later as for my winter set.

Also 19 is the stress free size to avoid curb-damage.

If you're going to plastidip, strongly advise using hyperdip. Plastidip, IMHO, looks like crap. Hyperdip has a much nicer finish, and you could do satin or gloss. I am keeping mine stock colour as I will likely trade my GV after 4 yrs.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't looked up more on the dipping yet.

Also forgot to mention TPMS, the place I installed sold set of aftermarket TPMS for about Canadian $250 (with tax) n they programmed them to replicate original TMPS codes so when I change to original wheels in the winter, Car will recognize them without any issue. so far running with that aftermarket n no issues.

I got OEM TPMS sensors from my dealer. I was surprised they were only just over CAD 200 before tax. But only silver stem so I used gloss black shrink tubing to cover stem components. I posted pictures in a thread quite sometime ago. Then got caps from CK auto off Amazon. $10. They are gloss black alloy but lined with plastic so they won't corrode and seize shut.

Eff it. I'm going with 20's for my winter set.

Spend too many months of the year on winters to roll on small wheels.
