  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Show off your wheels

Eff it. I'm going with 20's for my winter set.

Spend too many months of the year on winters to roll on small wheels.
Makes sense since your stock are the 21s, and those look good. Would do the same but my stock are 19s and want to keep for when I trade after 4 yrs. Plus here in eastern ON, car is so dirty all winter, wouldn't matter much anyway.

Yeah, same here in Edmonton...it's hard to see your new car covered in ice, slush, mud and salt...but for quite a few days each winter, there isn't a darn thing you can do about it!

Here's my new 19" wheels installed this week

Nice look with those rims. I have a silver GV70 also and while I wasn't thinking of changing rims now after seeing yours, I am now. Can you let us know what make and style those are. Did you use your stock tires with them? Thanks for pic's.

Yes, I used my stock tires.

I purchased mine at Belle Tire for a $300 cheaper plus a 10% VA discount.

No Belle Tire in Arizona, but I’m looking online for the best deal.

Today I went for my service (in Canada) and found new G80 on showroom.

Looks like famous waffle 21inch wheel in GV70 now come in 20inch

I know some people don’t like the waffle wheels, but more times than not if someone stops me to ask about the GV70 they mention how they love the (waffle) wheels. I hope Genesis doesn’t put them on all models, but a few models will help the cars look great.

Would be interesting to know if the bolt pattern of the G80 matches the GV70 for those who want more sidewall but love the look of the 21” waffle.

I love the waffle wheels. I don't think the G80's waffle wheels will fit the GV70 though. I asked the parts department that same question last year and they said it wouldn't. Hopefully they're wrong.

As far as I know, G80 comes in staggered setup. Based on few custom wheels websites, its have same bolt pattern. need to see if offset of these G80 matches to wheel-well.

Anyone dont like the OEM 21 (and the price:rolleyes:), this looks like a viable option.

Offsets are ok but overall diameter is ~4.7% smaller than the stock GV70. For anyone looking for that extra wheel gap, these are perfect. :ROFLMAO:

While I personally think 21" is the sweet spot for the GV70, for someone needing or preferring a smaller wheel and taller tire sidewall for ride comfort, which many do, but really like the waffle wheel, this may a great option. Or for someone looking for a dedicated set for winter, also a great option. I much prefer these than the stock 19" that came with my 2.5T Prestige, which are now my winter set.

However, I caveat the above in absence of knowing exact offset specs, and rim width, because any higher than +43 on a 9" wheel (which the stock 21" waffle wheel is) is going to look kinda dorky.

19" Ruffino Inception's being loaded up with Viking Contact 7's for a 2024 GV70 I don't even own yet... lol. Delivery expected by December, so I want to be ready and avoid the winter rush.

As mentioned, the 2024 Adv+ in Canada does indeed come with 21" rims now (non-waffle I believe?) which makes low-pro winter rubber unusually expensive compared to 19". Plus the extra cushion should be a good thing for spring potholes and ice chunks.

Presuming you are not hand washing in the winter, the pattern is fine, but man, if I had to clean this intricate pattern in the summer with every hand wash, that would drive me nuts.

Speaking of wheels, are these new for 2024?
