  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2G Genesis Sedan (2015-2016)
Gents, I've just replaced my factory signal bulbs on my 2015 Genesis sedan with Osram LEDriving Amber and the lights are now hyperflashing.

What are my options to remediate the issue?

1) Can I replace the relay?
2) What can I replace it with? A CF13?
3) Would the CF13 be a plug in fit or do I need to start splicing cables etc?
4) Where do I find the signal relay on the vehicle?

Thanks in advance.

I had a replacement turn signal bulb replaced maybe 6 months ago. A few weeks later the same bulb appeared to be bad. This time the dealer said it was a known harness issue and replaced the entire headlamp assembly. It should be under warranty but I don't know if you'll have the same experience since it sounds like you're using after market parts.

I think I read somewhere that if your turn signals are flashing too quickly then it means the Flasher Relay you have is the wrong type. The Relay your car came with wasn't built for LEDs.

you need resistors if you put LED bulbs in.

Correct. LED bulbs have less resistance and will cause the relay to hyper flash. I think that the relay in the 2 gen. Genesis is integrated into the car's computer system.

Is there a tech bulletin associated with this by any chance? I thought it was just me!
