  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Skylight will not close

Yeah it was a real let down.

At least their shuttle got me there and back with a nice driver. :)

When I got to the shop this afternoon I met with the "warranty" service woman and she was very nice and said she was frustrated because the warranty Hyundai added was what she called "vague" because it says it would replace the sunroof "assembly" which she said is my main issue. So she is contacting the main Hyundai group to discuss and see if she can get them to cover the claim.

Not holding my breath at all but will be nice if she can pull it off.
Just read the hyundai wide TSB that includes the DH, i would say its written incredibly broad instead of vague, actually. Says the sunroof warranty is extended, period. Nothing about failure modes or broken glass.

The only other thing I've heard working is Honda's Shin-Etsu Silicone grease. Unfortunately, it does leave a residual.

Got a call from my "customer relations" rep here in town and she said I need to bring car in for photos of the broken parts per Hyundai corp. Funny thing is how did they know that the roof had numerous "broken parts" on my first visit when they didn't take anything apart to look? Plus they said they already took the pictures during that service visit. So who know what they're up to.

But for fun, I emailed my rep a TSB showing that there is an issue with the propeller shaft due to the loud ticking noise I get at 25-30 mph. She claims she'll look into it. :)

My sunroof will not close unless someone manually pushes it closed while I hold the button. Service writer says I am second one he has seen (horribly rusted rear assembly pieces on both sides of sunroof of my car and in previous car repaired by service writer) and suspects a recall may happen. New sunroof on order with unknown delivery date. Here in Miami, December/January is our sunroof time! Dealer is quite inept so I hope removal & replacement is straightforward! Hope also that service writer is correct that it will be a warranty issue (38,500 miles and 3.5 years old)

Don't be surprised if it is longer. I have a broken washer fluid reservoir with a delivery date of March 15.

Interesting. Been waiting 2 months for a rear license plate lightbulb assembly so perhaps my new sunroof may take a very, very long time. Currently being quoted as "no delivery date known".

Been waiting 5 days with no loaner for an intermittent a/c issue (yes, a/c is needed at times here in Miami even in December). A/C issue is that there is no A/C air flow thru vents (just some cold condensate foggy mist) after 45 minutes or so of use. Seems like something--maybe a condenser--is freezing up?

Or maybe a blend door malfunction
