Slight shake at startup

I notice my 2013 slightly shakes a bit for the first minute or so after start. It almost feels like a gentle stumble. It goes away and if I drive the car a short distance, stop the engine, then restart, it isn't there.

Anyone else notice this?

Try using a full synthetic 5W-30 motor oil. Also check your oil filter installation to make sure it is seated properly in the plastic oil canister (or just get another oil change by someone you are sure knows how to do it, and who uses the OEM oil filter).

Obviously, it could be other problems, but it may be that your engine is oil starved when cold.

Do you buy "Tier 1" gas???
If not, do you used the Hyundai GDI cleaner????

If you have deposits on the valves, it could cause stumble for a short time until the valves get hot.

I just bought it certified used. Hyundai dealer did first oil change (but use 5w-20). I did run Redline fuel cleaner thru it on my first tank...but not sure of its impact on a GDI.

My 2013 Gen1 is doing the same! I took it to the dealer and they stated that it isn't throwing any codes, but i do notice a shimmy during start up in the morning, the gen 1 has a after market exhaust, and the dealership stated that it was a nice custom exhaust. I bought the gen 1 used. think it might need a spark plug change? other then that it runs smooth and is very quick from 0-60mph!!! any ideals?? I also checked the air-filter and its brand new oem.

I know Techron doesn't fix it. I am changing the oil shortly and will see if that does it. Otherwise, curious if it could be the plugs.
