  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Slow around here. The G70 !

Exterior + Interior + Price (around $50K) = Big Fail.

You are pretty quick to judge. Just wondering where you got that price from?

Is that the price of the G70 Sport with V6 3.3T and fully loaded (like the G80 Sport)?

Probably the base price of the 2.0 is going to be quite a bit lower, but of course it is a inline 4, like BMW 3 and MB C Class base models.

One of the websites said G70 is released in South Korea, but not in other countries until early next year.

I like the look of the exterior except for the chrome boomerang in front of the door. Does anyone know if that's a functional vent?

I think that version is for Australia only....................................................................OK, I just made that up :D

I nearly pulled the trigger on a G80 Sport last sunday, the G70 is causing me to now wait and reconsider. Saw a video on G70, which showed some specs on G70 3.3 TT RWD, with a weight of 1,705 KG or 3759 lbs, it should have some impressive acceleration numbers.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
acceleration aside that car shows us the new advances which will be made on the new g80. such as the metal materials on the interior and the new technology on the car. most important is the weight and the start stop on the car which means the new g80 will focus on fuel economy so bye bye many pounds lol. if you can wait a couple years or maybe even 1 year you could get it. thats what im waiting for. ill either wait till my lease finishes or sell to carmax and get the new one.

Just wondering what new technology are you speaking of on the G70?

Well, if the Stinger can do 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, and the G70 is going to be lighter (and I have a feeling will be tuned for a little more power) - I think we might see 4.5 or less to 60...

The stinger will be the best choice here. The G80 sport needs to rip off and design from scratch. The G70 is for students and small people.

Why? I can see the Stinger being a good choice if you need the space for family or want more of a GT type of ride, but the G70 looks much better (not overstyled, more sleek and elegant, no fake shit like the fake hood vents on the Stinger), will be more performance-focused and higher performing overall, will be more luxurious, and will offer the better dealer experience.

The problems are:
1) Backseat legroom is too tigh.
2) Remote window close setup.
3) Passenger side controller (when press the forward, the backward is useless)
4) #1 lead to seat alignment and found a bump on a floor.

That's all I can see but not sure.

Well, the tight toe room in the rear seat is real and has been mentioned in more than one review I've seen. Buyers need to know this and decide whether or not it's an issue for them, based on how the car will be used and how often there will be adults sitting in the rear seats. But the other issues sound like glitches that can be resolved. There may have been a bit of a rush getting cars ready for the roll-out and some small problems might have been overlooked. Do we know if the issues (aside from rear seating) are evident in every G70 or just one example?

Uncovering these issues gives Genesis an opportunity to assert its quality by addressing them (again, the rear set room aside). If it doesn't, then quality control will be called into question, which is the worst thing that Genesis could allow to happen. A factor that I think holds a lot of potential buyers back is the view that the Korean auto industry hasn't yet fully matured and doesn't yet come up to the standards of their Japanese counterparts. The long warranty helps somewhat but people want cars that work from day one, not cars that can eventually be made to work through the warranty program.

I'm betting that Genesis understands this and that the issues will get resolved. I suspect part of the reason for a rolling release, starting on home turf before shipping abroad, is so that these little issues can get identified by what I presume are "friendlier" consumers. Then, once those issues are fixed, the car can be rolled out to the rest of the world. If that isn't the case, Genesis will harm the reputation it is trying so hard to establish.
