Thank you I will definitely try these steps. The only "reset" our cars have is to pull the negative battery connection for 20 minutes.
The radar and control modules can fail, but there are also a dozen+ components & sensors connected to it which can trigger that red light including HECU/ABS system, wheel speed sensors, steering angle sensors, yaw, G, wiring, etc. Best way to troubleshoot is to take it to a mechanic with a Hyudai GDS or similar that can pull codes from the SCC module. Garden variety OBD2 readers cannot read the SCC control module.

This makes sense because the EBS is making a loud grinding sound and the hold light gets stuck on. I have to turn off and start the car to clear the light.Thank you I will definitely try these steps.
Update on my issue. Took it to the dealer and was told the failure of the Electronic Parking Brake motor is culprit which somewhere along the line also engages the rear brakes causing the error in the brake to scc feedback loop. 3500 job parts and labor. The only "reset" our cars have is to pull the negative battery connection for 20 minutes.

I have a 2012 Genesis sedan. Recently I have been getting a red error light when I try to engage my SMART CRUISE CONTROL and it doesn't function. Is there a way to reset the radar module?View attachment 43576
Thanks PK. The EPB is needs repair/replacement anyway so I'm going to do the repair for a less and see what happens.Let's cut to the chase with your issue there is only two main reasons why your SCC module will fail
1) If it's not connected properly to the front radiator and core support panel "cable terminal"
2) If the actual module itself is malfunctioning commonly caused by front impact in that surrounding area
Solutions:
You must detach the front bumper, grill and impact absorber foam with the sensor cable to actually check and see your connections to the black SCC module unplug and plug back in
Verdict:
If you are still observing the SCC malfunction icon on screen then it's time to replace your SCC module with another functional one
I have resources on how you can get another fully functional one for your vehicle if you like
I just purchased a 2013 Genesis (my 3rd Genesis) prem/tech pkg and recently got the SCC light on the dash when I tried to engage cruise. Went to eBay and purchased SCC module with exact part number and software revision. the light still comes on when I try to engage....I feel confident I am making good connections unless I am misunderstanding something....when I removed original SCC the fault light stayed on full time with nothing connected and when I replaced with new one from eBay the light went out until I hit the cruise button and I got the fault light again....I could have a bad module and have 30 days to return....do you have any other ideas? just removed negative terminal from battery for 20 minutes...no change....any help greatly appreciatedLet's cut to the chase with your issue there is only two main reasons why your SCC module will fail
