Smart Trunk not Working

Hey guys I am a newbie here but needs some assistance. I have a 2015 Genesis 3.8 Sedan with the Ultimate package. Love everything about but recently, the smart trunk is not working. Might anyone know how to reactivate it or what could be causing the issue?

Couple of possibilities. Just yesterday someone had a trunk problem. Turned out the Valet switch in the glove box got accidently hit.

Another is the setup. Could you have unchecked it when going trough the menu? This is the button on the right side of the steering wheel to the right of the cruise control

Could be a bad sensor too.

That is correct. It is not supposed to.

Does 2015 3.8 awd have valet switch? Becausey trunk is not beeping anymore when i stand behind it and in the menu it has a check mark. Where could i find the valet switch

Yep i found it. It was unlocked and still no beep when i stand behind the trunk. This used to work but not anymore

The “stand behind the trunk feature” drove me crazy in my ‘19 Santa Fe. I shut it off and now I just pull lightly on the tailgate “handle” to activate the auto opener. I’d much prefer the “put your foot under the rear bumper” activation, but it’s not available.

Make sure it was not turned off in the settings check box.

Checked and it is not turned off
