Smart trunk not working

Hello, I recently bought a used 2019 g70 2.0 and the smart trunk is not working. I made sure that the box is checked in the setup but after locking the car and coming to the trunk it does not work. I even tried coming back to the car after 10 minutes and it still wouldn’t work. Anyone know what the issue could be? My rear heated seats are also not working so I don’t know if this is a fuse issue that incapacitated both of those things. Any help is appreciated.

Can you open the trunk with the button on the trunk lid with the car locked and the smart key in your pocket?
If so, that confirms that the electric release (and motor, if you have the motorized trunk), and the rear antenna are working.
If it won't open that way, but will open with the button on the remote, then something is wrong with the rear antenna/receiver module.

Yes, I can open it with the key as well as the button on the trunk.
