Snow/Ice Performance of Michelin Primacy MXM4s

A question for frequent posters with good memories. I seem to recall reading negative reviews of the Michelin Primacy MXM4 that are standard on my '16 3.8 HTRAC. Since I picked up the car in April, I haven't given it much thought so far, but as winter approaches, I'd rather not find out the hard way that these tires are no good for northern US winters. I've tried in vain to search for relevant threads but to no avail. Can anyone point me to existing threads on this topic?

My 2015 AWD came with Hankook tires and though they were very good on dry ground they were terrible in even light snow. I for one was glad when Hyundai offered the Michelins since I had them on my Infinity AWD . The Michelins work very well on light to moderate snow. So far the of all the “all weather” tires I’ve tried the best have been the Continental DWS which is now superseded by the DWS06 . Still not as good as a true snow tire but as close as you can get. Hope this helps.

I have the Michelins on my 15 AWD 3.8 Ultimate. I drive around IL, IN, WI and the U.P. of Michigan quite a bit in the winter. No issues at all. Very predictable and well behaved when in snow mode. Very down-key throttle response and aggressive power redirection when in snow mode keeps it behaved. When I do burn up the michelins however I will be switching to Pirelli Cinturatos.... really enjoyed them in the snow on my Azera and Accord.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Perhaps I'll stand pat for the first snow or two and see if the MXM4s will be acceptable. I've always had Blizzaks on dedicated winter wheels for my previous RWD Genesis' and BMWs, but if the Michelins and AWD are good enough, it'd be great to not spend the extra money (not to mention the hassle of bi-annual wheel swaps).

I originally had the MXM 4s on my 3.8 AWD. They were fine in the snow. I did have vibration issues with 2 sets of these, and ended up swapping out for Cont Extreme Contact DWS 06s.
I have not had those in the snow yet, but that are rated a bit better for snow performance. If I had not had the vibration issues, I would have been fine with the Michelins.
