Snow tires for 2011 with premium package 18" rims

I have a set of Lexus 17" rims with almost new 225/50R-17 snows. Can I use them on my car that is equipped with 18" rims & P235/50R-18 tires?

The diameter will be smaller with the Lexus rims, but if you are asking if they will fit, I'd suggest pulling a front wheel off and seeing if it clears the brakes.
