  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So what kind of pricing did you guys/gals get?

I have a quick question. You guys (and girls) that are purchasing these 4.6l Techs in the $38-39k range, is this including TTL? One of the dealerships near me gave me a quote of $39,200, not including TTL. I will be paying cash but this will be the first car I'll actually be able to haggle on. I'm trying to get a feel of a good price to shoot for when I go into the dealership. Thanks.

No TTL. You should be able to walk away at 38-38.5 easy for the 09s - Just have to talk with them right and be firm. You want a leader in pricing, not a sheep

Does anyone know the residuals for a loaded 4.6, with 15,000 mi/yr...

And what kind of money factors are people getting ?

Thanks

Shelly

The rates for a V8 Tech through HMFC for this month:

46% for 12k miles
45% for 15k miles
money factors on tiers 1 & 2 are 0.00070, and 3 is 0.00205

The best going deal would be around 580-610 a month, depending on what your taxes are.

Happy Hunting.

I put $1800 down and am paying $568/month INCLUDING taxes (8.75% in CA) for a V8 Tech w/ trunk mat and ipod cable. I think i got a very good deal. (12k miles, 36 month lease).

for a loaded 4.6.... I was offered

$3000 cash at delivery ... 15,000 mi/yr..... 36 months

667 per month...... tax included.....

This was the prepackaged Hyundai deal.....

I feel they can do better......

See my post ... they can do WAY better than that. Heck the Hyundai advertised lease plan is $2599 down $559/mo + tax on a 10k/yr 36mo lease.

In Atlanata, Ga. I paid $38,500 plus TTL. Included ipod cable and 3.25% from Navy Federal Credit Union over 36 months.

In Williamsburg, VA, $38,100 out the door for the 4.6 with tech package & every accessory available. I'm a very satisfied customer of both the dealer and the Web site that explained the car-buying strategy I used. Write me back if you want to know more.

That's a great price, I paid the same and haven't seen lower. Congrats on your new car!

Hi.. I paid 38,500 plus tax and tag for my v8 with tech.. You need to get the v8. I went to 3 dealerships and put in alot of time to get this price .. they all wanted over $39k and dealer fee. Ya, right... dealer fee... that is almost as comical as the sticker stripe every dealer puts on the cars down here...

the car is great... i concur on suspension but the car is a secret... i was so close to buying an Acura RL with a sticker price of $50k but an ahole salesman and their inability to let me take it away for $42 led me to Hyundai... although Acura is to come out with a V8 soon and will take a look at that ride...

Acura scrapped their plans for the V8 ... kind of a bummer as I was hoping to look at the next RL when the Genesis lease is up in 3 yrs.

Just priced a 4.6 w/Tech using Associate Pricing offered by the Think Tank:

$37,366 plus freight.

I paid (well, leased) $39,100 last November. Congrats to those who get this price! I think my price was exceptionally fair then, and I have no regrets or envy that you can do better now.

:)

Was that price of $38,100 in Williamsburg, VA including tax and title??? If so that is one heck of a deal

I didn't know there was a dealership in Williamsburg. Is this a dealership which sells other brands and just happens to sell Hyundai's also?

In Melbourne, Florida. The local dealership (Coastal Hyundai) is supposedly a big mover of Hyundais.

I went in looking for an 09 3.8L V6 with no packages, but if nothing else was available, I'd take the premium or premium plus if the price was right. Wasn't interested in the Tech (I told them). Test drove the only 3.8L on the lot, but it had the Tech pkg and wasn't a color I liked, I wanted the Sapphire blue with Cashmere. The SM searched the entire SE of Florida and couldn't find what I wanted so they asked if I'd take a second choice in colors. I said the Cabernet would be 'OK'. They had a demo up in Cocoa with 5k miles on it that "the owner of the dealerships was driving". Because of the 5k miles, they knocked off $1000 which is $0.20/mile, which is what they charge when you go over your miles on a lease, so I figured it was fair.

'09 3.8L V6 - Premium Plus pkg (Cabernet/Cashmere): MSRP $36,000, sticker on car was $39,995.

Walked out paying ~$30,000 not including trade-in. There was a $1000 rebate, and another incentive for about $2600. I put down $4k and got a 36 month lease @ 1%.

Now, if someone looks at those numbers they can probably determine that I could have gotten a better price. However, I'm pretty good with math and I know that for me, saving another $1000-1500 here isn't going to have a huge impact on my monthly cost and I'm a person with the mindset that I want my salesman and dealership to make good money off of me and stay in business. In my experience (and I've worked in sales before), I get better treatment and less 'weaseling' when the salesman makes a decent profit off of me. I had a price in my head of what I wanted to pay, and it took very little effort for the salesman and I to come to a point where we'd both be happy. I love the car, and the salesman doesn't mind fielding my calls or e-mails for trivial stuff because I'm one of his 'good' customers.

Annapolis Hyundai (410-295-1234) will sell a Genesis 4.6 with Tech for $39,880 and a Genesis 3.8 with Tech for $38,110. Some dealers will put on "extras" such as wheel locks, pinstripes, or paint protection. The charge around $1500 and it just gives them room to negotiate.

I bought a 3.8 Tech package, black on black in the Dallas area 2 months ago for $37,400. Tinted windows and IPOD cable included. 1.9% financing from HMFC was the clincher.
Love everything, but am sure looking forward to a map update.
And I have not seen another one on the road yet.

Just to add to the discussion.

Purchased '09 3.8 Tech on June 1st for $35,343 including $750 destination.

Other cost:
$54.00 Registration
$99.00 Processing Fee

Car was purchased from Fitzgerald Auto Mall.
