  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
2G Genesis Sedan (2015-2016)
I recently purchased a 2015 Ultimate CPO with only 3500 miles. Magnificent vehicle. A bit disappointed that it does not have apple play. How do I know if I have the latest software update. Not sure if text messages come through on my model or not.

Check [Home] > [Settings] > [System Info] > [Version] in the menu. You can compare your version to the most recent version at MnSoft | Hyundai & Kia Map Update. Text message readout was added in the newest update. You'll see a brief message when your phone connects if you have it, but since updates are expensive it's unlikely the previous owner would have updated right before selling the car. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not and will probably never be available on the 2015 Ultimate navigation system (9.2" screen with jog dial). They were added as a free update to the base system, and are available on the Ultimate in later years (I believe 2018, but I may be a little off).
