  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Sold 2012 after 6 months.

What are you going to do? This is Hyundai's first iteration into the luxury car field. I sat in a brand new 2012 Equus in the showroom and the car was already reflecting a certain degree of poor workmanship. The passenger side power recliner was "chattering" as I lowered and raised it. Hopefully you got enough equity out of the Equus to put down on a good quality luxury car like a BMW 5 series or my personal favorite a 2013 Lexus GS.

Guess I got a good one huh...mine doesn't suffer from poor craftsmanship.

I have noticed that some people just can't seem to understand or accept the fact that hyundai has made BMW, Audi, Mercedes, etc... Look really bad. Particularly in the price dept.

If you dont like the car that's one thing, but to troll a thread and be a fanboy for another brand here...well, just move on. Anybody who has bought a genesis or equus is fully capable of buying any other brand out there. As far a BMW being a real luxury car....nah, don't think so. Been there done that.

Just bought Equus Signature and ONLY complaint is GPS. Entering street before city does not work well at all. GPS recall needed to correct this with new download.

I agree 100% my 2012 has the same issue, but in the new 2013's this issue has been corrected from what I have heard. But we still need an update for our units. Until then there is a easy work around I will list below:
1) Push voice button on the steering wheel.
2) When prompted to speak say exactly "enter city".
3) The system will then allow you to enter an address with the city before street by following the prompts.
4) Remember at the final screen you must say what it says on the screen to activate the data you input... something like "start route guidance" after your city / street / house number is entered.

If you need further help feel free to message me.

Tim
