  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys, had an incredible encounter with a lane-wide pothole at 60mph last weekend and my front passenger wheel is bent beyond repair (although it does still hold a bead...) Does anybody have any recommendations for where to source an OEM 5.0 front wheel? The tire shop I went to recommended LKQ, but I checked their online stock and they don't have anything. I figure as few 5.0's as they've sold and as new as the wheel style is, they'll probably be hard to find in a salvage yard, having been wrecked hard enough to total.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the recco! You have experience with these guys? There seems to be no shortage of online shops like this, I just can't imagine that they're all reputable. But if you've had good luck, I may take the plunge.

In the end I'm hoping that after submitting a claim with the State of AR, they'll be the ones paying for all this anyway. Just didn't want to have paid list price of over $900 if I end up having to foot the bill...

You said front passenger wheel, 5.0 has 18 in the front and 19 in the rear
Nope, not sure where you're getting your info. The staggered setup varies width not diameter. So the fronts are 19"x8.5" (with a 245 width tire) and the rears are 19"x9" (with a 275 width tire).

No I don't, I never bent rims in any of my cars, but I remember, one of two our members here, said they bought from them and the finish was OK.

I have yet proved again I am an idiot! It is crazy how unavailable the wheels are; there were only several listing on ebay

Awesome! Maybe my dealer can get a deal for me, not sure if I'm good with an OK finish even if it is significantly cheaper. Everything else on my 6-month-old-to-me Ultimate is in such great shape... Shipping times are a factor, I'm sure factory sourcing is probably going to be the quickest. Ugh, thanks for all the help guys!

I purchased a front wheel and rear wheel both from rock auto , and they both have a good finish. 15 5.0 wheels.

Quoting myself from another thread (feels dirty in some weird way)...

Note that those wheels probably are not brand new, and may not even be Genesis oem wheels. The fine print on that page states:

"The majority of wheels we offer are (OEM) wheels, reconditioned to factory specifications. Depending on the rim, we may also offer brand new replicas, or new takeoff wheels. Unless requested via e-mail or phone, the customer may receive any one of these."

"Although we provide OEM part numbers and/or indents for reference, we sell wheels by visual identification. Do NOT purchase a wheel based on the part number(s) displayed, visually make sure the wheel pictured looks exactly like the wheel on your vehicle."

And on another page on their site:

"Note: HH Auto considers replica and reconditioned wheels to be the same and may ship either unless requested."

"Reconditioned wheels, replica wheels and takeoff wheels are considered by HH Auto to be the same and all fall under the heading of reconditioned wheels. Unless specifically requested, HH Auto reserves the right to ship what is available at the time of purchase."
