  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey team.

I've been considering the Tork TCU upgrade but don't want to be without my car operable while the TCU ships back and forth.

Many folks I have talked to simply bought a used TCU and sent that one in, always having their original as a back up, but I didn't get more details on it.

My question is, do I need to find a used one that matched the numbers on my current TCU exactly, somewhat matching, or does it not matter at all as long as it is a same year TCU for the G80 sport?

Any input is appreciated!

_Michael

Twas what I was hearing as well but when I connected with someone named Gina at Tork she said:

"You will just have to make sure that the part number matches your oem part number and it should work. You would just need to send it to us and we can tune it for you."

So now back to being confused...
