Pretty much what you have to. Reduce speed and 80Km is recommended but I know people that have done far more when needed. With AWD I'd try to limit to the closest tire shop.Hello
How many kms is ok to drive with a spare tire in AWD,
front/rear wheel?
Thank you

I'd drvive rather than die in my car becuse of a flat tire.tha
thank you
I considered AWD only, so if installed rear or front it is only to closest tire shop
what if you are at lake Superior 100 km away from a civilization
in summer, for example, you dont need to)I'd drvive rather than die in my car becuse of a flat tire.
you were probably ok to do so as your fiat is fwdI would be most concerned about driving with no spare and the consequences therefrom. The tire itself will last for as long as I need it to last.
I had a 15 year old infiniti and asked the shop person what the life of the spare was. It cannot last forever. He said he had never seen a advisement about replacing compact tires due to age (not use). There must be some age standard of limit for any tire.
When I was young and foolish (redundant, I know) I was faced with driving 160 miles or so on Thanksgiving day with no spare since I had a flat and had to use the limited service spare, which had previous use, all while on the freeway. What were my calculations at that time knowing the location of tire stores/repair shops on such a day were unknown and quite possibly zero. The car was a Fiat* so tire compatibility was unlikely. Would you chance it?
*see above @ young and foolish
Note that Genesis doesn't say NOT to use the spare tire at all. They just cautions you not to use it "continuously", which basically means running all the time like a normal tire. I sure hope nobody is dumb enough to do that.you were probably ok to do so as your fiat is fwd
awd is a different story. From manual:
But, do
not use the compact spare tire continuously.
Repair or replace the original
tire as soon as possible to avoid
failure of the differential or AWD system.

Look... does the donut spare tire have the exact same rolling diameter as your normal tires? Most likely not. Would that cause your AWD diffs to chatter on a tight turn? Probably would. Is that going to cause irreparable damage? Not if you take it easy, go as slow as traffic would safely allow, and make turns nice and gentle. And quit using the donut spare as soon as it is able to get you to a tire shop.
At the end of the day, it is simple risk management.
If you got a flat tire on your way to an interview in your best Armani suit, in a nice posh area of the city, and you have AAA's free tow service... then maybe it's a good idea to chill out in the car, listen to the Lexicon audio system, and wait for the tow truck.
OTOH, if instead you got a flat tire 10:05pm on a moonless Sunday night in the middle of nowhere, 80 mile from the nearest small town, with you wife and kids in the car... I'd recommend getting thee on thy donut spare - post haste. If that means 150 mile back to civilization and your hotel... so be it. 350 miles? Keep rolling.
