  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I’m trying to change driver side spark plugs on 2015 Genesis 3.8 sedan and having a really difficult time taking the manifold off,it’s loose but seems like backside still stuck on something and have noooooo room at all to look cause how close to firewall it is so am did I do something wrong ? Am I missing something ? Really not trying to pay a arm and a leg just have my spark plugs changed out

Somebody with access to a manual might weigh in..........
Thinking back to when I did my plugs, I seem to recall an online manual I found mentioned a bracket on the back side of he upper manifold that needed to be removed.
I was pleasantly surprised that bracket didn't exist on my car; looked like a very tight spot as you mention.
So my manifold was easy to remove; and I found no hints of a bracket back there.
(My very lame dealer had done a bunch of warranty work; probably been in there and chose not to replace the bracket?)
20,000 miles later all seems fine with the manifold.

Hope someone more expert responds.
