  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a used 2013 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 with the 17 speaker package and a lot of the speakers are in bad shape. I’ve been doing research and can’t find much on the topic besides it being difficult to install non-OEM speakers. What are my options?

What does "bad shape" mean in reference to your speakers?

Bad shape meaning I don’t even want to turn my volume up past 5. They are clearly blown and it’s unbearable

I have a blown back door speaker. Dealer wants 250 to replace it... may do it but wanted to see if anyone has found a third party speaker or has replaced it themselves. Should be simple if one can get the door panel / grill off.

I’m in the same boat. I use crutchfield.com to get an idea of what’s going to be needed. I’m going to swap out all the speakers, but I’m debating on doing the same setup that I had in my Kia Forte (swap all speakers and reroute everything through a crossover/aftermarket amp.

Call the dealer parts department and ask what that replacement speaker costs.

I have a fresh 2 ohm door speaker from a 2018 G80 I can hook you up with.

I have a fresh 2 ohm door speaker from a 2018 G80 I can hook you up with if it's a 6.5" mid-woofer. (I've got the 7 speaker system in my car.)

Thanks Bill. I have to the premium 2012 sedan with I think the lexicon 14 speaker set up. Not sure if yours is the right impedence or size. Do you happen to know or know a source? If it’s the right one I’d be interested

I actually have the technical specs on the two stereo systems, and the speakers in the front and rear doors are identical. (6.5" 25w rms, 50w peak, 2.0 ohms +/- 0.3.)

Bumping this post in case Bill in Alexandria still has the 6.5" speakers. The speaker in my driver's side passenger is blown and I'm looking for OEM replacement speakers

I just replaced my rear speaker and as a heads up the speakers are riveted into door panel so you will need to drill them out. Also if you have rear tweeters then they are connected in parallel with the main door speaker. To retain both the tweeter and the 6.5 speaker you will need to do some wire splicing.

How do I need to splice them exactly? I see two blue and two orange wires.

What's a good Center sub speaker for my 2013 Hyundai genesis 3.8 sedan? Mine has gone bad. And a good touch screen for my stereo?
