  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I downloaded the May 2023 maps last week and loaded them into 2022 G70. There are some rural roads near me where the old maps didn't seem to know the posted speed limit. Now those roads seem to show a "default" speed limit of 25 mph, even when the actual posted limit is 40-45 mph. Has anyone else had this experience?

Where is "near you"? I've noticed no change but perhaps your state is giving some erroneous information.

I posted about this too. There are apparently a lot of problems with the latest update. I'm waiting for a fix.

I would rather have no limit displayed than an incorrect one.

Same. It's annoying.

I believe this happened to my system with the 10/2022 update.

Just tried downloading the update, and not available yet. Who knows how long it'll take.

I can confirm that this is indeed the case. I've never updated my maps until now, and on previous back roads where I occasionally travel through, there would be portions with no speed signs posted (so none for the vehicle in the HUD either). But now it'll list them as 25mph instead of nothing. And yes, these roads are generally 45mph give or take.

The corrected update was supposed to fix that, but guess they didn't fix all streets/secondary-highways. They did fix my neighborhood, which showed 25 before, and now that I downloaded the corrected update, it shows 30, which it's what it is. As I mentioned, why not leaving it blank if not sure? Oh well.
