The only way it can be accounted for is for the customer to choose two different VLT's from the same product and specify them for different windows and hope the end result matches. For example, maybe a 40 VLT on the rears and a 30 VLT on the front sides to compensate that the rears are darker to start with. But not all tints come in closely spaced VLT ranges, and it is doubtful that they end up looking exactly the same if the factory glass had different tints for different windows. I would just accept that the R-Spec comes with darker glass on the rear by design. I guess it is part of the R-Spec "shtick" (which I am not into personally).I guess that I am still wondering if a good tinter can account for the existing factory tint to ensure I get the result that I am after. For the most part I like my tinting so will probably not get the windows re-done.
Cheers,
Newman
It sounds like you were discussing this with the dealer. Dealers don't do tinting, they farm it out to tint shops, so you would have been better off dealing directly with a tint shop and talking to the installer directly.
