Spring Booster for Genesis 2012 4.6L

Has anyone with a 2012 Genesis 4.6L used Sprint Booster. If so
how was the installation and were you satisfied with it.
 
I had Sprint Boosters on my '09 and '11. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Sprint Booster is the real deal. Very easy to install. However, it is a bit of a bother to disconnect the OEM electrical connection (squeeze both sides). Otherwise all it takes is a 10mm wrench to undo the throttle pedal.

Please tell us more. I find the pedal response very annoying. I had always thought it was more of a transmission issue .. but slow throttle by wire makes sense.
 
I shot off an email to Sprintbooster on Thursday evening about the 2012+ 3.8 and 5.0's asking them about this, currently they don't show making one for the 8 speed transmission and 2011 is the last ones available on their site. I'll give a few days or so for a response and post if any new information.
 
Sorry but no Sprint Booster app for the eight speed, though it probably "fits" in that you can connect it. Not sure why Sprint Booster doesn't have an app for the eight speed, but ask them.

The throttle on our Hyundais is a "throttle-by-wire", which is a bit confusing as all the old-time throttles were connected to carburetors by a "wire". It is more accurate to describe our throttles as "electrically connected", then is is easy to understand that the throttle pedal sends an electrical signal of varying strength to the motorized throttle body on the motor. Obviously, the signal is weaker at idle and stronger on full throttle.

The Sprint Booster is a simple signal amplifier. In simple terms you increase throttle response - less motion on the foot increases signal - more power. It is arguable that the same effect can be obtained by a heavier foot, but there is also a faster transmission kick down with the Sprint Booster which seemed different than the OEM kickdown in that it kicks down mabe just one gear whereas the delayed OEM kickdown somethimes kicks down more than one gear. Kickdown seems easier to modulate/control with Sprint Booster.

Rey, do you have the GDI 3.8 or are you pre-2012? You bought the manual coupe version of the booster, correct?

Sorry if I have confused folks about the Genesis I own.
I currently own a 2013 3.8. No Sprint Booster on it. Actually, I am almost satisfied with throttle response on the eight speed.
Had a 2012 RSpec. Also no Sprint Booster.
Had a 2011 4.6 and used a variable Sprint Booster on it with great pleasure and success.
Had a 2009 4.6 with an early model Sprint Booster, which was fixed. Liked this also, but I like the variable model better simply because sometimes I switched back to an OEM mode (wife likes a less sensitive throttle.)
